It's getting crowded in the VoIP graveyard. Yes, you can now add AT&T CallVantage to the death list which already includes SunRocket and Verizon VoiceWing. Ah, it seems like only yesterday the companies were salvating over Vonage's fast growth and starting their own VoIP businesses.
Stand alone VoIP is not easy. SunRocket had 200,000 subscribers and still managed to turn the lights off. However, I think AT&T is focusing on getting new customers to it's u-Verse product line. However, the fact they sent their CallVantage customers a letter telling them the product is discontinued without giving an end date is beyond me.
If you are a CallVantage customer, you can check out a list of alternative CallVantage VoIP providers.
Speaking of AT&T, I had some really overly aggressive AT&T sales people (in PERSON!) going door to door trying to sell me on switching to their new fiber network. They were so overly aggressive, I was tempted to call the police to get rid of them. Their pitch was almost like a technical information notice. It was something along the lines of, "AT&T has recently installed fiber optic lines in the area.." which almost sounds like that is actually really going to change my life in some way. AT&T's hard sell just seems so desperate and I don't think Skype's revenue growth is helping alleviate that desperation.

This is a good idea, I've been desperately waiting for, these system to charge its service on mobile calls too, and if possible I'd like to know more about the provided features. Does it also allow us to make credit calls or not??if it does allow us to make such calls I'd like to know more information regarding the business phone systems featured on VOIP's recently.
