ITP is based in the New York City area and offers some very aggressive monthly plans with no contracts.

While many VoIP companies might have an aggressive plan that requires you to pay upfront to get their best price, ITP offers you the same effective price as many annual prepay offers but with monthly payments. A great price and no commitment! In addition, they are offering you a free Internet phone adapter, unlimited calls in the USA & Canada and 26 free calling features. With the $19.99 monthly plan, ITP is giving you 2 free months (Month 1 and Month 12) of service which brings your monthly rate to $16.58 ($199/annual = $16.58/mo). There is a $29.95 activation fee and the shipping of the required adapter is reasonable at $9.95 to most locations (more remote locations may have a slightly higher shipping fee). The 2 free months also applies to any of their plans including the Global Unlimited which offers free calls to landline phone numbers in over 30 countries for only $24.99 per month. Calls to mobile numbers in international countries are not included.

What makes ITP a really good choice is that they are giving you a Toll Free number with no additional monthly fee on your new VoIP account. Many VoIP service providers do not even offer a Toll Free number or, if they do, they charge an additional monthly fee of around $4-$5 per month. ITP gives you one with your VoIP account for free. You only pay the inbound usage on calls to the toll free number which is customary and expected from all phone service providers. Your inbound usage on your regular VoIP phone number is unlimited.

Also, ITP gives you a free calling card so you can enjoy ITP's excellent international rates no matter where you are. This is great when you want to avoid expensive rates from your mobile phone company and use ITP's rates instead. You can simply just pre-program in the ITP calling card number in your mobile phone and then make your international calls through ITP. Your normal airtime minutes on your mobile phone plan would still be used.

The promotion for 2 free months ends soon so we recommend you act quickly on ITP's offer.

If you sign up with ITP plan on staying with them forever. I've been fighting them on cancelling for over 6 months. Yes, I returned the equipment. After 6 months the unauthorized charged my credit card for over $200.00 hoping I wouldn't see it. Customer service would put me on hold for over 20 minutes or just hang up on me. Could never get to a supervisor.

I used 2 different carriers before this one and I think this one is good so far. I had bad audio and dropped calls (fast busy signals) on previous companies. This one seems to be working so far. I like the rates and I even took the box with me to a friends house in Idaho and seem to work perfect there too. I like the fact that I can simply bring it to a different location and it works.

I am unsure why the above user is complaining about having trouble leaving ITP. First of all I know at least 50 people who use ITP and not one of them ever considered switching companies. Which brings me to my next point; ITP is simply the best provider I have ever used. They have better quality then any other VOIP provider, they kick butt in prices. I'm even feeling a little adventurous so I would go as far as saying that my experience with ITP is on par with a landline company for a mi=uch lower price and better, more personal customer service. They helped me through installation in 5 minutes and the box (which is free) can be used wherever you are. The features that they have are amazing like the virtual numbers and receiving my voicemails in my e-mail. For sure the best VOIP provider out there.

1. Voice quality is bad. You will hear cracking and static on voices of people on the other end. The technicians will tell you that's how it's supposed to be. 2. The adapter is NOT free, even though it says it on their site. This is a VERY deceptive advertising. 3. There is an activation fee of $29.99 (very high). 4. They charge a $20 fee to ship the adapter to you. Plus you're on hook for the shipping as well if you plan to cancel their service. 5. There are other miscellaneous "hidden" fees such as a maintenance fee you get charged that they don't tell you about. Never mentioned anywhere and not even in their terms and conditions. 6. Their terms and conditions are full of contradictions but the service reps will swear their mother's grave to it. 7. When signing up, their website will tell you what area code you will get but when activated you get another area code. This happened when I signed up for a "416" area code but I got a "647" one. Avoid these guys like the plague! If a lawyer out there is interested in pursuing a class action suit against this company, please contact me. tam.m.ngo@gmail.com

Watch your Global Unlimited plan Phone Bill. I been with ITP for 1 year and recently changed the plan to Global Unlimited 4 months ago, the reason I changed because I makes lots of international calls. Lat 3 months I have noticed my phone bill was over the roof, I called poor customer service and she told me I have to wait 10-15 minutes between each calls, other wise all calls were charged, all my domestic and international calls were charged, (is it global unlimited?) she said its in the terms and conditions and I can't find 10-15 wait between each calls in the fine print. So dont make calls one after another, have a coffe break each time you call some one. Watch out the catch.

I've been with ITP for over 2 years, and they are the best thing a service provider can be - invisible! No problems in any area. I'm on the basic plan so my cost is even lower...less than $16 a month...great for me since I make few long distance calls. I have no problem recommending ITP to anyone interested in low cost, high quality VOIP service

I thought vonage was bad but ITP is the WORST company ever. Their customer/technical support is poor with long wait times. Their billing practices are deceptive. Their unlimited plan is not really unlimited. They bill usage charges on top of the unlimited plan fees. Their website is poor that looks like it was designed by a four year old! Service quality is poor. Cancelling their service is a hassle. STAY AWAY!!

I've had ITP for a few months. They as all VOIP get the occasional echo and dropped calls. Can't beat the price compared to AT&T land line. I love all the features and ease of control of my features through my account online. Overall really good. Customer service credited first month while porting my number over. Porting took about 3 weeks.

I ported my number from ITP to another carrier a few months ago and they continued to charge me. As I've never had to call to cancel the old carrier due to the porting process, I just assumed they would stop charging me like every other carrier. BAD ASSUMPTION. They said it is part of their security even though they don't state it anywhere. Very, very, very bad business practices. Go with anyone else but ITP. They may lure you in with low prices, but they will forever charge you.
